    Charles Ahern PhD

    Dr. Ahern is a neuropsychologist with 25 years of experience working with individuals with complex learning difficulties. He received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. As a predoctoral intern, he trained for two years in neuropsychology at Wake Forest Medical School, specializing in the neuropsychology of learning and in learning disabilities . He completed his postdoctoral training at the University of California at San Francisco Medical Center where he was an Irving B. Harris Fellow. He then joined the staff at UCSF Medical Center where in addition to his clinical duties, he trained and supervised psychology students and medical interns. He served for ten years on the faculty of Holy Names University. He has conducted numerous trainings for educators and spoken frequently to parent groups. He has lectured nationally and is author of several publications including the book “Beyond Individual Differences” which was published by Springer Press in 2011.
